PLA 2012

March 22, 2012

We’re just back from Philadelphia. Many thanks to everyone who stopped by to visit us at Booth 237.

This conference is always a good experience, as we meet up with a combination of existing customers and with people who may have never heard of us. You come away feeling pretty affirmed that we are on the right track, but also with a collection of helpful and insightful comments that might take us in new directions. All good.

Aside from a 3 fire alarm event at our hotel on Thursday night, Philadelphia was just great. Had a Boston feel to it; easier to walk, when possible, than to drive. A return is in order.

Again, thanks to all who visited with us.

Trade Show Season

November 16, 2011

We’ve been on the road to New York,¬†Pennsylvania, and Burlington VT recently meeting¬†existing¬†customers and new folks interested in one of our products.

A general trend: energy and optimism were higher on the show floors than last year, and the content break out sessions, which unfortunately we are not able to attend, has been praised to the rafters by everyone.

All good.

U.S. federal agents have been given new powers to seize travelers’ laptops and other electronic devices at the border and hold them for unspecified periods the Washington Post reported on Friday.

Under recently disclosed Department of Homeland Security policies, such seizures may be carried out without suspicion of wrongdoing, the newspaper said, quoting policies issued on July 16 by two DHS agencies.

Traveling safely by land, sea, or air is important to all of us. TSA does a good job under very stressful conditions 99% of the time. How far will the government go?

ArtsRGV: Events for the Rio Grande Valley

August 15, 2006

For at least two years, Virginia Haynie Gause, founder of ArtsRGV.com  dreamed of having a robust web-based events calendar for the whole Rio Grande Valley of Texas. Her two major goals were to have a tool that would allow people to search for events happening on the days they could attend, as well as one that would permit organizers to plan well in advance so that major events would not all clump on the same date!

We’re delighted that Virginia chose EventKeeper to bring her dream to fruition.
